Traditionally companies in the beauty industry are more marketing companies than product companies. With such heavy focus on marketing, the truly important things get left behind. What are the ingredients of the product, where and how are the ingredients grown and how was the product made? These questions are way more important when it comes to natural skin care.
We set about creating a company where we could answer these questions, where we could stand up against a heavy push-marketing culture by making the products and their story the hero.
At Fruush we are doing this by striking grass root level partnerships with local farmers and small scale manufacturers in Uttarakhand. This helps us create a quasi self-owned backward integrated supply chain to procure natural ingredients at source and manufacture high quality products at scale.

Uttarakhand is a very special place. It not only has 2/3rd of the green cover of the country but also has vegetation that ranges from sub-tropical to alpine. To top it, on all pollution parameters of water, soil and air, Uttarakhand ranks amongst the most pure and cleanest. Not just that, Uttarakhand is a default organic state with very rare use of chemical fertilizers and harmful pesticides.
This positions Uttarakhand as the ideal place where we can make world class natural skin care products not only for domestic audience but world over.
Our journey towards this goal, started in 2017, with a single farmer group in the district of Chamoli where we started working with rose farmers. Today we have dozens of partner farmers and local entrepreneurs across multiple districts of Uttarakhand.
In the last year alone our products have reached more than 5,000 customers. A testimony to our high product standards is the fact that of the customers who have bought our products, more than 70% return to buy again.
The best part though is that the journey has just begun.
